Ocean’s Zero is your personal assistant, available at any time to bring you towards a zero waste way of life. The zero waste is a lifestyle which aims at generating less waste and limit your impact on the environment.

Every year, 8?million tons of waste ends up in the oceans. Contrary to popular belief, 80% of this waste does not come from sea dumping, but rather directly from the land. Whether through littering or poor recycling, a large amount of land waste ends up in the oceans with disastrous ecological consequences. There is only one way to stop this: we need to significantly reduce the amount of waste we generate.

Why an app? 

For close to 30?years, Surfrider has been raising citizens’ awareness of environmental issues related to the ocean, particularly marine waste. Everybody can help at their own level and commit to the positive process of reducing how much waste they generate. Our phones, by our side every day, can also help us to adopt more environmentally friendly behaviour.
