THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE BLUE COLLECTIVE

Blue Collective has three main objectives :

  1. To recruit committed and motivated individuals who wish to strengthen their impact
  2. Communicate and inform about Surfrider’s news and projects
  3. Take action by participating in networking, team building, fundraising and other events

HOW THE BLUE COLLECTIVE OPERATES

Members of the Blue Collective participate in extending the visibility and knowledge of Surfrider Foundation Europe. They put their skills at the service of the NGO’s actions on a voluntary basis. Thanks to them and their network, funds are raised and new members are recruited. They are also invited to live unique and friendly experiences and to participate in awareness raising actions.

PROJECT FUNDING AT THE HEART OF SURFRIDER FOUNDATION EUROPE’S MISSION

The members of the Blue Collective collect, inform and mobilize to disseminate and help finance the association’s strategic projects. The objective is to raise 1 million euros in 2 years to finance 10 major projects of the association. For example, the funds help Surfrider Foundation Europe to prohibit the construction of industrial projects ecocides on the coast, to build political advocacy to eliminate single-use plastic. In addition, the funds will help Surfrider Foundation Europe to ban the construction of eco-harmful industrial projects on the coast, to build political advocacy to eliminate single-use plastic, to launch legal proceedings against all polluters of the seas so that their crimes do not go unpunished, and also to raise awareness and amaze new generations to pass on their passion and desire to protect the ocean.

The Blue Collective is committed to encouraging sincere initiatives that are in favor of the preservation of the ocean, whether they are citizen, political or industrial.

« Threats to the Ocean challenge us every day but we will never give up, because every challenge makes our collective stronger. » – Marine Piers, coordinatrice du Blue Collective de Surfrider
